Last week on Thursday, Johnny was running around outside at school where he tripped and fell cheek first into the edge of a big piece of wood. Johnny's teacher said that he barely cried, and seemed to be more worried about continuing on playing with his friends more than anything else. They administered ice and had him take it easy for the rest of the day.
Over the past couple of days we have watched his bruise grow, get darker and move over to his eye. Amazingly enough, he hasn't complained about it at all.

F.Y.I. The style of this photograph was inspired by Martin Schoeller. He is a photographer that is based out of New York, and is very well known for his "hyper-detailed close ups" portraits.............
Not sure if I really captured what Schoeller does in his portraits, but I do like where this image ended up.
